On Friday, we celebrated the official launch of the Baustoffcity Weinfelden (building materials city) with an audience of experts – including our inspiring KIBECO talk on the circular economy.

National Councillor Manuel Strupler highlighted the political framework conditions and opportunities for a sustainable construction industry, Leonie Isler from Oxara presented groundbreaking innovations in building materials, and artist Bob Gramsma gave us fascinating insights into how he uses concrete to make creative and tangible works of art. This led to lively discussions, which showed: the future of construction is recyclable!
The Baustoffcity project also confirms this. In future, 80,000 tonnes of recycled gravel will be processed there for concrete production every year.
On Saturday, Baustoffcity opened its doors to all interested parties. A complete success with many curious visitors. Another highlight was also presented: our new all-electric 23-tonne crawler excavator, the first model of its class in Switzerland.
The opening of Baustoffcity impressively demonstrates how the circular economy, innovation and practice come together to sustainably shape the construction industry.
