Particular emphasis was placed on a careful combination of existing buildings, modern architecture and innovative building materials during the renovation and extension of the detached house on Ackersteinstrasse in Zurich.

Built in 1937, the single-family house was extensively renovated in terms of energy efficiency and expanded with a three-storey extension. By combining the existing building structure with a contemporary extension, a modern residential building has been created that retains the character of the original building while meeting today’s requirements.
KIBECO supplied the KIBECO Cleancrete Nossim for the project’s terrazzo flooring. The cement-free building material was used to create a high-quality and resource-saving floor solution.
