The Concrete Award honours outstanding projects in the areas of building construction and infrastructure and recognises buildings that impress with innovative, sustainable and technically and aesthetically extraordinary construction methods.
On the Zeughaus site, our KIBECO concrete with 50% recycled aggregates was used, which meant that 15 tonnes of CO2 were permanently stored. KIBECO contributed significantly to the realisation of the MANAL pavilion by supplying KIBECO Cleancrete Oulesse, a cement-free, low-carbon concrete, and KIBECO Cleancrete Nossim liquid clay.
Both projects show the versatile applications of concrete and illustrate how sustainable building materials can positively change construction in the future. We look forward to all further projects in which we can implement innovative solutions.
