FORUM UZH – Zurich’s new science centre
FORUM UZH – a forward-looking education and research centre – is being built in the heart of the Zurich university district.

The Herzog & de Meuron education and research centre, designed for 6,000 people with around 700 workstations for students. The combination of wood and concrete as a resource-saving construction method and the green roof with a photovoltaic system show how ecological responsibility and urban growth can be reconciled. KIBAG is also involved in this project. We are delivering 30,000 m³ of low-carbon concrete in a supply consortium with Eberhard: KIBECO concrete and circular concrete. Together, we show that CO₂-reduced concrete also works in large-scale projects. The centre is scheduled to be ready for occupancy in 2031.
