The Education and Research Center, designed from Herzog & de Meuron to accommodate 6,000 people with approximately 700 workspaces for students. The combination of wood and concrete—a resource-efficient construction method—along with the green roof featuring a photovoltaic system, demonstrates how environmental responsibility and urban growth can be reconciled. KIBAG is also a partner in this project. In a joint venture with Eberhard, we are supplying 30,000 m³ of CO₂-reduced concrete: KIBECO concrete and Zirkulit concrete. Together, we are demonstrating that CO₂-reduced concrete works even in large-scale projects. Occupancy is planned for 2031.
