The new construction of the second Sanität Zeughaus ambulance facility in Basel makes optimum use of the plot. Its serial structure with few load-bearing elements ensures flexibility for the future. Mainly durable, well-ageing and recyclable building materials were used. KIBECO supplied 1,500m3 of KIBECO concrete in which 15 tonnes of CO₂ were stored, thereby actively contributing to reducing CO₂ in the atmosphere. The project shows how innovative concrete solutions can make a tangible contribution to resource-saving and climate-friendly construction methods.
