New forester's house for Holzkorporation Zollikon

Wood and concrete combine to form a future-oriented building concept in the new forester’s house belonging to Holzkorporation Zollikon. In addition to the renewable building material wood, KIBECO concrete is also used, which contributes to reducing CO₂ emissions.

Entry from 01.06.2022

Holzkorporation Zollikon is acquiring a new forester’s house centred on sustainability and construction methods in harmony with nature. The building, which was planned and realised by Heer Architektur GmbH, systematically relies on a resource-saving choice of materials. The shell was constructed between November 2021 and March 2022.

The key building material of the forester's house is wood, which is important to the sustainable building concept with its renewable properties. In addition, KIBECO concrete is used for the necessary concrete components. Almost 2.5 tonnes of CO₂ can be permanently stored in the concrete by using KIBECO concrete.
